Noisy Environments
If you are like me and you live in a noisy environment, you are going to want to read this article to the end. I am going to show you how you can suppress background noise in Zoom.
Step 1: Go to Audio Settings
First go to the audio settings. To get here, click the up arrow in the top right corner of the mute button.
Step 2: Find the Noise Suppression Category
In the audio settings, you will see the noise suppression category. Here you will find four options: auto, low, medium, and high.
Step 3: Select the Best Option for Your Environment
I recommend creating a brief recording to test the different noise suppression options. When I use high noise suppression in Zoom, I do notice a decrease in the sound quality; however, this is the best option for me as I have a young toddler in my house who loves pretending that he is a dinosaur. 😉
A brief recording under normal conditions will allow you to hear what is best for your environment and sound setup.
